AutoDM ("we", "our", or "us") operates the AutoDM platform accessible at autosenddm.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.

By using AutoDM, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect several types of information in connection with our service:

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account data: Name, email address, and password (stored as a salted bcrypt hash) when you create an account.
  • Campaign data: Keywords, message templates, and target post URLs you configure.
  • Billing data: Payment information is processed by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and session duration.
  • Device data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and time zone.
  • Log data: DM delivery records, error logs, and automation activity.

2.3 Instagram Data via Meta API

When you connect your Instagram account, we receive access to comment data on your posts via the Meta Graph API. We read but never modify, delete, or publish content on your behalf beyond sending the DMs you configure. We do not store your Instagram password.

Important: AutoDM only accesses Instagram data you explicitly authorise through Meta's OAuth flow. You can revoke access at any time from your Instagram settings or from your AutoDM account settings.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and improve the AutoDM platform.
  • Execute the automation campaigns you configure.
  • Send transactional emails (receipts, account alerts, delivery failure notifications).
  • Detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive use of the service.
  • Comply with legal obligations.
  • Provide customer support.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: We use Stripe (billing), AWS (hosting), and Sendgrid (email). Each is bound by data processing agreements.
  • Legal compliance: When required by law, subpoena, or court order.
  • Business transfer: In the event of a merger or acquisition, with prior notice to you.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Activity logs are retained for 90 days by default. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Danger Zone.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest for sensitive fields, and regular security audits. However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (right to be forgotten).
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.
  • Data portability.

AutoDM is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email and by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
